Dispute management
We read all three reports line by line, identify entries that are inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable, and dispute them under §611 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act — with a method-of-verification request when a bureau comes back “verified” without saying how.
- A line-by-line read of the Experian, Equifax and TransUnion files, not a template letter blast
- Disputes filed under FCRA §611 with the bureau and, where it is the better route, directly with the furnisher under §623
- Method-of-verification requests when a bureau returns “verified” with no description of the procedure used
We will not dispute an item we believe is accurate. Filing a knowingly frivolous dispute wastes the window and can get the whole batch dismissed.
